The Ultimate Health Rights Survival Guide

This toolkit was developed by The Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth.

This toolkit is a combination of information about health rights and activities that guide you through the processes related to your health rights. The first sections of the guide outline your basic health rights on the topics of informed consent, decision making, when you can’t make a decision, and being locked in for mental health reasons. The next sections on understanding my own health and the plan of care help you to apply the information and activities about rights to you and your own health and health care.
